kd and teddy in london
This is before a show backstage in London in '86 at a club whose name I've totally forgotten.. It was a difficult Sunday night since no one really
knew who she was, no one showed up and it was nothing but a lot of hard work.... Through the years as I looked at this pic I've always thought that kd
looked very beautiful here.. There was always a kettle for tea, and a box of Olbas sitting around before all the shows....
kd& eddie
kd had this rocking horse "eddie" and removed the plastic tail and stuck a long blonde wig in ol' eddie's butt.. A light bulb was
installed in eddie and then he would be hung above us with a 6 metre or so electric cord on stage and we could wildly swing him back and forth whenever we felt
like it. What a lot of fun it was and it must have looked wild.... she would remove the wig, put it on and sing "these boots were made for
walkin'"... I took this pic on stage at the Commodore in Vancouver!
kd hee haw
I'm not sure where the original photo is of this shot taken on the set of Hee haw but I'm really glad that a photo copy was made... The keyboard player
in this shot is Chris Sigerson, a jazz piano player from vancouver, who only did ( I think) 2 gigs with us.....
kd, dennis, gordie and eddy........... Not sure when this was taken > but I' guessing '86....
kd audience
I took this on stage, I think, at the Convention centre in Edmonton...... Wow, what a love fest.. We used to see kd do that to people every night......
kd and 2 cigarettes
I wish I had a better camera back then........ I'm glad I didn't use a flash that night, I think it turned out to be better this way....
Hmmmmmm.... kd?? Elvis???? The same kind of spark...
kd exotic town
We played this show one night in a mall in Kobe, Japan.. It had many rooms with many different themes..... Our room was "exotic town".... cracks
me up each time I think about it...
kd and gordie
Look behind gordie on the bed and you'll see his bath robe and folded "obi"....... This was taken in a hotel in Tsukuba, Japan.. Also notice the
rather large cans of beer and the small bottle of scotch on the table between them.. This was very different for us canadians to actually be able to buy booze
out of a soft drink machine.. kd never really drank that much so I'm assuming that it belonged to Gordie....
kd tsukuba
>These 2 pics were taken in Tsukuba in a barbecue house... These were fun restaurants to go to........ I'm seeing the almost empty mug of beer in
front of Gordie which probably has given him the > courage to start foolishly stealing something from kd's plate.... Hmmmm.... don't do it
gord...... I'm warning you........ Oh oh... now you've done it!!!! Another thing I want to address..... Back then we smoked where ever we wanted and
quite often we'd light up in front of kd in the same room, in the same vehicle.. Everywhere...... She never liked it back then and we never really did much
about it..... Now when I think about it I'm really sorry for all the times I lit up with her around..... Grant, our front of house guy, is beside her and
beside him in the red striped shirt is Steve Maclam .... Steve has gone on to become a very successful manager..

I remembered the pub name wrong : it's The Half Moon, 93
Lower Richmond Rd, London SW15 1EU. Still a live music venue according to their website.
