Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been lurking but would like to contribute from time to time but must admit to being a virgin. Not only with forums but with kd lang as well. Sounds terrible doesn't it. Anyway, should I show my ignorance on forums, please, please let me know

Anyway, I am an older lady (born pre 1950) and have only just recently discovered the magnificent talents of Ms k d lang. Oh my, what wonderful gifts she has been given. Why I hadn't discovered her before this is anyone's guess because I have always had music in my life. Guess I must have had my head in the sand. Oh well, a whole new adventure is about to start.

I am really looking forward to seeing her live in July in the US though I live in Western Australia. My partner is from Portland, Oregon and so we are going to celebrate Anniversary of 10 years together on July 25 at the Spokane concert which just happens to be on July 25. How lucky are we?

If this post comes up, then I will know I must be doing something right and will look forward to making further contributions as time goes by.

We hold a monthly chat on all things kd and would love if you could attend one of these chats--a wonderful way to become acquainted with other board members and a great way for us to get to know you on an informal basis. The monthly chat date and times are posted under the "Group News and Announcements" thread. The last chat thread is still up there if you wish to read it. When it comes time for the next Chat, a new post is created and the old one taken down. :-)

Thanks for the welcome and the information Feisty. Will take me a while to get used to things here but I am sure I will get the hang of it all eventually. I am sure you will all tell me when and if I do things incorrectly. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Many thanks Dragon for your warm welcome. I am sure our anniversary will be a very special day for my partner and myself as we are both kd fans and really looking to spending time together and especially at kd's concert. It isn't always easy when we basically live in different countries - she being American and myself being Australian but we manage for about 9 months of the year.

I am looking forward to getting to know a lot of you on here and will hopefully be able to contribute from time to time.
