Well, were to begin.....so many wonderful memories, so much fabulous singing, and a touching moment between kd and Jamie...hmmm, well I guess I'll start from the beginning and work my way down

Dinner before the show: (incase anyone missed my other posts)
Pat and Caz and Manon (wonderful women by the way!!! Had a ball with them!) Found a nice little Italian place to eat, and it just happened to be right next door to the St. George Theater, which by the way, looked less than stellar from the outside, but was gorgeous once you got in (kd said it just needed a little TLC). We got ourselves a prime window seat and sat down to chat while we waitied for kdlangfan (another fun gal to have with us!!).
We'd been sitting there for about an hour or so when a large blue van pulled up. I said that the car looked familiar, the boys and kd got into the same type of van when leaving the show Manon and I saw last year, and sure enough out popped Danny, Daniel, and Ian! We were all very happy to see some of the handsome young men and went about our business thinking they must now all be inside but......the kd gods were smiling upon us tonight because about 10 minutes later we saw a taxi pull up. Who should step out of the taxi might you ask?? kd's tour mgr Graeme, followed by kd herself and to our surprise, Jamie! Pat jumped up as did Caz with her camera in hand and poked outside to say hello and snap a few pics before Graeme asked for there to be no more pics (they're fabulous pics and Caz promises to get them up ASAP). What a lovely way to start off the evening right?! We of course were over the moon about it and all of us couldnt stop smiling at the fact we had kd "all to ourselves" for just a bit. What made dinner even more perfect was the music. It started off being jazz but by the end of the meal had turned into all kd all the time! Now onto the show......

Meaghan and her Peeps:
After hitting the merchadise table (my early birthday prezzie is displayed proudly Caz!! Cheers!) and picking up copies of Meaghan's EP, btw according to her husband Jason, her full album is hopefully coming out in Sept., we made our way to our seats. Meaghan came on and again was fantastic! Her energy is contagious. She mentioned how this was the last show and how she has learned so much from kd and is so grateful for everything. Nothing but love for kd. During intermission we all got Meaghan and her "peeps" to sign our cd's and Caz and I even got our picture with all three of them! Oh, and Pat pipped up during her set and aksed if Meahgan was coming to the UK anytime soon, to which she replied yes! She is going to be there this summer. You lot out that way, GO! You'll have a ball seeing her!

Continuing with the musical portion of the program:
kd was perfect as usual! She walked out onstage to lots of cheering and went right into the show. Upstream started things off, don't remember the exact order. Caz can help with that since she managed to get ahold of the crews typed up set list! I did notice about three or four songs in, someone had walked out and stood behind kd's sound guy, and was watching the show offstage. Ususally it's been Graeme, but this time it was Jamie watching. She came back and forth a couple of times, then halfway through stayed for the rest of the show. I almost couldnt decided on who I wanted to watch more lol. You could clearly see how proud she was watching her girl sing for all of us loud women, and let me tell you we were loud, okay I was really loud, but hey you only live once right
Now on to the funny little bits before I forget.
-kd messed up right in the beginning of I Dream of Spring, she sang, "she arrives...opps!" then laughed and said, "I've only been doing this for a little over a year."
-During her first encore as she walked off stage, she slapped grecco on the bum! That was funny. The two of them were extra flirty with each other tonight
-kd talked to me while onstage!!! She had to bring Daniel up front with her because again he was blocked from our view. When she mentioned he was only three when her 1st album came out, I yelled that I was younger, which Daniel heard and repeated to kd to which she said, " yea but you're not up on stage with me." Sigh!!! I could have easily arranged that for her
-When introducing Danny he got up to take his bow and mentioned something to kd that made her burst out laughing. She asked if we heard, we all said no, so she repeated it, "he said he loves watching the Love Boat, totally random so it made me laugh."
-and now for the little moment between kd and Jamie. At the end of Close Your Eyes, kd goes off stage at the end, while the boys keep playing. Pat and I noticed that while kd was waiting for the boys to finish, she stood behind Jamie, put her arms around her waist and they both swayed back and forth to the beat of the song til it ended. It was soooooo sweet to see them all lovey-dovey. Just a cute little moment we knew we had to tell you all about.
kd came back for two encores, and then that was it! It always seems like it goes by sooo quick!

After the show:
We didn't end up meeting kd. It turns out that the day had not gone very smoothly for our girl. Delayed flight, a hotel room 25 minutes away from the venue, the venue not having a shower so kd couldnt get ready there ect. so she and jamie quickly got into a car and away they went. Graeme was kind enough to give us the low-down on the days events, and also gave us lovely pics of kd that were signed, he also took the gifts we had for her, so thanks Graeme!!

Anywho, that was the night! I'm sure I've left some stuff out so hopefully everyone else can help me out. It's sad this tour has come to an end, but I saw the first stop in the US and have now seen the last so I cant complain too much.

My European kdians again it was so lovely getting to meet you! I don't think I've laughed that much in a very long time. I hope you had a great a time as I did. Flako and Chantal, sorry we didnt get a chance to meet. You were both with us in spirit. Manon, have a safe flight tomorrow night and you two crazy english gals have a safe flight on weds. Until we meet again, only 4 yrs til I turn 30 then it's England here I come!! Caz, we'll celebrate together mate cause ya know....you've gotta have friends as Donkey would say!
