LANG scheduled at ST GEORGE THEATRE on SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2009, has been postponed. The new date is MONDAY, MAY 4, 2009, at 7:30 PM. Original tickets will be honored for the new date, or you may obtain a refund by following the instructions below for your applicable delivery method. 14/03/09 09:17:36	Oh No no nooo nooooo! I can't believe it- Caz just called me after seeing this posted- this is going to be a nightmare as we were all travelling back to the UK on Monday together. I am not sure about Manon but Caz and I , flako and her partner were returning then. Worse still Flako will absoulutely not be able to take one more day holiday off as she has to be in school, and her daughter and a friend have just booked flights to go out and meet us all toooo. I don't want to be the one to tell her I don't know if I can book another day so even though work is closed today- I am going to drive to work now and check out our holiday system to check availability- the thing is I think I already know - then see if I can plead with my manager to let me cover this- Caz will have to do the same on Monday I wanna cry .............. Ohhh! How will affect you other guys LA, kdlangfan, Cora, Manon, Chantal??????

14/03/09 11:40:33	Thanks so much for that Diane! That really is important, actually. I may not be able to go now. I just started training for a new position at work and the training is 3 months so it would run into the NYC trip. I managed to convince my workplace to let me miss two days of training....one on the Monday after the Staten island show so I would be back to work on Tueday and the other for the Barrie show....but I don't know if I can push for missing three days now! Crap.

14/03/09 12:57:44	hi all, I woke up last night around three, came down to the computer and saw the notice too in my inmail box. I wrote to you in England and Europe thinking of the arrangments and especially the plane tickets. I posted it in a topic called tour dates but can't find it this morning. This is the last straw I feel, no so much for us this side. I don't swear often but I did....reading that. Chantal

14/03/09 15:28:18	Everyone, I didn't read the whole topic last time I posted......I just saw Diane's initial post in the "recent" link and responded to that and now I see everyone else's response. This is really terrible news for everyone! I was hoping it wouldn't affect anyone else but I see it does, specifically our friends travelling by plane. What a huge disappointment. Shelley, I think you should use your influence with kd's management and tell them that this simply will not do. After the disappointment with the jazz festival, this is too much. Pat, Caz, Flako, Manon...I hope you are either able to change your plans or get a refund on your flight....if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know! what a disaster.

14/03/09 15:28:41	This is horror for most people. Luckily I don't have to worry about time off, I'm a lady of leisure. I have just cancelled my flight and booked another one, leaving on the 5th. This means another night at the B&B. So, Chantal, let me know sometime when you will be coming so that I can change that. Pat and caz, you know what you have to do: down on your knees, grovel, promise to work overtime for a month and if all else fails, burst into tears. Men are useless when faced with a damsel in distress. I am now just about as nervous as you are. As I am going on a 3-week holiday on Tuesday you must let me know on Monday how things worked out. Everything crossed. Actually this is most peculiar. Why would a weekend show be cancelled and a new date fixed for a Monday, one of the worst days of the week for theatres, cinemas, shows etc. This is going to mean a loss of revenue for ms. lang.

14/03/09 18:57:53	I have just called the St Georges Theatre to check why the show was cancelled -only the 3rd occasion in 25 years, just in case there was a problem with the venue. The lady in the Booking Office explained to me that it was not the theatre who postponed the show but kd. She told me she has to meet the President! Well, I know she is a fan of his, so do I forgive kd for all the angst, disruption, extra £100 cost of flight changes, extra hotel bills, expenses and 2 more days taken up of my holiday entitlement? Hmmmmmm, what do I think? Yeah, course I do kd...that's because I am proper fan unlike that Dev idiot (from the Interviews thread) So all I gotta do now is get a yes from my manager- cros everything for me guys please. 14/03/09 19:10:28	Ok ................I've been thinking about this all day. Having just got back from a day of removals helping a friend move house. To say today has not been the best of starts I've had to a weekend, I'm staying positive. Having failed to get a sofa through a door due to the wrong angles, and it being too big, that problem was solved. Then the return of the van hired which I was driving and the return time, again that problem was solved. Having now had words with the powers that be upstairs, I am sure we were not meant to travel on the Monday for a reason..............don't even go there and ask why not!!! Now I have faith that on Monday when I ask for an extra two days holiday to be added on that there will be a positive answer. I would much rather go to NY for the original purpose.......that of seeing kd in concert and meeting our lovely overseas friends ............than miss going at all...........a chance of a lifetime. Now I'm going to contact Pat to see what's happened whilst I've been out moving.................get back to you soon. Caz, feeling a bit deflated but not defeated...........yet. Positive vibes here!!!!! manon I'm not going to miss having an insult throwing session with you.........and hugging everyone else, no way ha ha!! May you find peace in your world today. Caz x
