I often used to go to Youtube to watch k.d.'s video clips and also whatever there was in it concerning ellen degeneres. Starting a few days ago everything concerning these two famous lesbians have been deleted from Youtube. Is this only happening to me due to some problem in my computer, or is there some kind of cabala against everybody who is openly gay in Youtube? (I hadn't the time yet to verify if the same thing had happened to other gay singers or comedians? Can anyone of you explain to me what is really happening in Youtube? Are we back to the spanish inquisition? Greetings to all of you. Mathilda

I don't know if you'll find the next bit alarming or reassuring, but I just had a quick fly past on YouTube to check for kd content and found (hurrah) 150 clips as usual. So... you may well ask what's going on ? YouTube were bought out by Google last year and there is a huge copyright infringement lawsuit pending : "When is copyright theft not illegal? In the struggle to answer this defining question of the internet age, one entertainment giant has declared war. Viacom, owner of the Paramount and Dreamworks film studios and television channels including MTV, Nickelodeon and the Comedy Channel, has launched a $1bn (£515m) copyright-infringement suit against Google..." and blahdeblahdeblah. Is it your computer ? Or is it the long arm of Viacom's legal team ?

What a world we are living in....! I knew nothing about this... somethimes I wander if I am not living on another planet? 13/09/07 10:16:00	Ms. Jones, I, too, just ran a youtube query and kd is there as usual. Thankfully, all of the videos I have seen are still there. Also, just viewed a couple of Melissa Etheridge and all is well there- so there is no inquistion at this time :). Must be your ISP connection....
