Hello all!
A least I've found what I was looking for - a lot of k.d. fans. Great!
My name is Marianne. I'm a 54 years old Swiss, now living in Sweden with my wife and two cats. Coming from classical music, my wife (who's listening to every style of music from AC/DC to Mozart, but she's a little bit, hm, let's say obsessed with voices) let me discover the rich variety of pop music. Well, one fine day she played an album of the singer she usually calls "la primadonna assoluta of pop music" - I think, a fan of Jessye Norman couldn't pay a bigger compliment. Of course, she played an album of k.d. lang and she was right: I've never heard such a brilliant voice outside of classical music. I was completely caught up in this voice, the music, the person - and I still am!
I've to say sorry for my bad English, but I've never learned it in school. A friend taught me a little bit in preparation for our trip to Scotland some years ago. Not enough, I fear. So, please, if I'm talking nonsense, feel free to correct!
