It was wonderful. What kd said about life and art and creativity was a pithy representation of why I'm a fan. She used a beautiful image about being like water, and also talked about failure being success. It was remarkable, watching the rest of the program, how many of the other "innovators" reflected similar ideas and images, incuding the water one. As she spoke, they interpersed and overlaid short video clips, most of which I'd seen: the green suit introduction, Constant Craving, Crying, Trail of Broken Hearts. Her monologue was done in short little choppy clips, an artful sort of production, as was the rest of the program. There were few ads, only two Audi ones as I remember. I felt really - I don't know - really proud of her, or something, as if I had any claim to do so!

I am so upset I didn't get a tape of the whole program. What I'd really like, though is a transcript of what kd said. Has anyone got one?

the interview was about 5 minutes and kd wore a white button down blouse and a black jacket and her spiked hair and was sitting down in an open converation and classy conversation. it started with a intro from eric which i missed and brief old clips.

she stated "that opinions from others never shifted and she always went with her thougths. living in alber was an emply and vast canvas which gave her room to grow and be what she wanted to become.

she talked about her music history, starting fom industrial punk to 7 years of country and those obstacles. the trials on not being played on the radio and being an outsider.but said she liked her style and direction and being individual and not wanting the mainsstream. she mentioned that she was missing country and that there will be another country album in the future.

she said music and life express diverse ways to go places like puzzles molding that gradually becomes a vision of you and you don't always know when that happens or where it leads you and avoid putting rules and limitations on them and success means failure sometimes and it's important to see that.

kd claims that she want to think of her music as water. it being fluid, nurishing to quench thirst, needed and never over looked."

it was an excellent show.
