I have just finished reading an article about the tv ratings for the Winter Olympics
in the Philadelphia newspaper and will post, in part, what the columnist had to say -
"It beat '92 games in Albertville, France and almost tied the '88 games in Calgary, Canada, probably the last time k.d.
lang appeared in a dress."
What do you think her intention of mentioning this was all about?

the last time kd appeared in a dress in 'the drag era' for a magazine (i think it was the USA Vogue) she looks great!

Maybe it was because kd did make a comment about how well her country Canada did this
year [see AD board} and her performance at the '88 Calgary Winter games was tops. After all, she was a hoot in that red and white western canadian
fringed "cowgirl" dress!
I dunno, other than her partriotic interest in the games, it beats me.

i was unaware that kd had weighed in on the outcome of the olympics but given
that, i'd have to agree with at&t. what else could the writer been referring to? while it does seem a bit round about, i'm always thrilled to
know that kd's name has been mentioned. and btw, the olympic performance she gave was pure delight. the alberta
rose!

could not. i checked the olympics thread and a couple of others. where'd i go wrong?

props to both capricorn and at&t. took capricorn's tip and found the post on
a.d., came here to thank her and saw at&t's and was off to that one. got a look at the canadian coach as a bonus. i agree with that poster, btw:
would be great to be able to have live files in these formats. anyway, thanks ladies for your help.
