24/05/06 12:28:00	Tags : None G'day all Just curious if anybody watched the ACM's (Academy of Country Music Awards) tonight? And what you thought of them? I prefer the CMA's, but it was very exciting tonight! Having to channel flip while watching the final of Idol proved to be quite the challenge tho....I owe my son a dollar for keeping his telly set to the ACM's and updating us, while we drooled over Idol...LOL Country music, like other genres of music, has gone through ALOT of changes over the years. I'm wondering if others have noticed that too? I definitely prefer classic country to contemporary (Toby Keith aside )... Any input? What about Idol? "Soul Patrol - Soul Patrol - Soul Patrol!!!"......Good luck to Taylor! Tis in the bag m8!

25/05/06 02:27:00	In fact I do love countrymusic, I have been line-dancing for many years (before it became a hype in Holland), with real Sendra boots and a very BIG hat..LOL..no dutch wooden shoes for me...LOL I have lots of cd`s ;Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Carlene Carter, Emmylou Harris (still going strong) and many more...always fun to hear and usually sounding very lively.. tiger

26/05/06 07:55:00	I'm from Nebraska! I grew up on country music. It's in my blood. I didn't watch the awards, but I was glad to see Carrie Underwood won two. I like her. And the Dixie Chicks are in the CD player in my car right now. I love their new CD. I'm looking forward to a long career for Kellie Pickler. I love her!!! a-tigerfish, my old roommate dated a country line dance instructor, so I used to spend a lot of time line dancing. I had Dingo boots! I actually just got rid of them when I gave up leather. Loved those boots. I loved the song "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On." Great dance to that one. And who can forget the "Tush Push"? JAG

26/05/06 09:36:00	Gudday Shelley - Hahwahyah m8? Healing up? I gave Jolie a quick listen, and loved her voice! Have nevah heard anything else like her before! LOVE her name too Tiger and JAG, line dancing eh? Done a little bit of it in the distant past, it takes alot of energy. I'd rather sit and watch...lol, or stick with a basic 2 step. Tiger - I got to see Carlene Carter back in the 90's, she opened up for Aaron Tippin, and she was bloody amazing! Full of energy and talent! Carrie Underwood is doing very well. Even though I'm not a fan of hers, I'm happy to see how well she's being accepted as the new girl on the block. She's definitely got the talent to match anybody else out there. Gotta pass on the D Chicks...nevah much liked them, even before their tiff with my man Toby.....BUT, their new song does sound really nice...nice melody! And a BIG CONGRATS to Taylor Hicks for winning Idol...he certainly deserved it, and accepted it humbly. Wow - what an entertainer he'll prove to be!!!!

31/05/06 02:59:00	Jag..indeed the tush push..and that song..wasn`t that: "baby makes her blue jeans talk", I also loved that song..and thankfully lots of jeans still talk..lol Tatteroo.. I also saw Carlene Carter on stage in Holland in the early ninties, indeed what a lively spirit she is!! How about those guys "the mavericks" I saw them too, love their music too, they did split up didn`t they? love, tiger
