Greetings. I don't like asking stuff like tihs, but here goes....
I'm in a bit of a monetary pickle. (putting it mildly) I sell lots of nonsense on E-bay under my well known odd name of "Squidtoaster." Mostly
musically oriented, but since I'm no longer at the music store, my inventory of that is dwindling so I'm digging out my old comic book collection
(
ANYWAY...if you could spread the word to friends etc. to look me up on e-bay and see if any of my junk interests you/them, I'd truly appreciate it. Or
say prayers anyway
Thanks for all your support!! You rock!

squid, i was just speaking with someone who shops on ebay and is interested in looking at your
offerings. apparently one needs a seller id number to find a seller. would you be willing to post that here?

Hiya Froot! Thanks so much for spreading the word! You're the coolest chick I know!
I don't have an Ebay ID number. My ID is "squidtoaster". What your friend can do is look up one of the things I'm selling and then click on
"add to my favorites" and then they can check out my offerings any time they feel the urge. One of my current offerings is a Rosanne Cash Martin
guitar poster. Have your friend search that. It ends tomorrow night.
Hopefully I'll have time to put more auctions up within the next couple of days. I'm wiped out! Been working at a post office I've not been in
for six months and I'm not familiar enough with the route yet. It's taking me over ten hours. I thank God for the overtime though. That makes it
worthwhile! Phew!
Thanks so much again!

Dearest fruitcake...(had to spell it right at least once this year)
Tax time...yes. But, thanks to my pal Shirley at H&R Block, my headache is a little less. (I just have to pay her for dealing with MY headache.
Actually, the rough week was due to working at a fairly unfamiliar post office all week. I hadn't done the routes there since August and it was like
starting from square one all over again. PLUS, this particular office is a total nightmare! The postmaster...or mistress as it were...was removed a couple of
weeks ago apparently for reasons of theft and forgery. Innocent until proven guilty of course. But, from having worked with her back in August, it was
clear to me then that she's a bit loopy to say the least. So, anyway, last week due to all the upheaval, the "time Nazis" were in checking on
every little thing we carriers were doing. Very intimidating! By the end of the week I was waiting for those nice young men in their
clean white coats and
they're coming to take me awaaay!! ha ha hee hee ho ho....
Today...I unfortunately was not needed at any office. (well, a mixed blessing anyway) SO, I could get cracking on listing more stuff on E-Bay. April found
a few goodies for me to list as well. So, tell all your friends!! What the heck, tell your enemies too.
Help help! My mortgage is killing me!!
Thanks again again frootie AND Deb!!!

hahaha!
fruitcake's nice to see, but your permutations of it are endearing. whatever the muses direct,
funny lady.
so you are a carrier, are you? a letter carrier, that is!
as for your auction, would it be against the rulz (ebay's, msn's, squidly's, etc.) to post links to your auctions?
that might be easier for those whom i am alerting.

YOU ARE TOO COOL!!!
Not against Ebay policy at all to post links. They like it actually....makes more money for them ! (greedy things)
Here's a link to the page of my current auctions:
Yep. I'm a rural postal carrier. (please, everyone! Maintian your
mailboxes! Remove all spiders, bees, other assorted injurous vermin, and fer pete's sake...make sure you have a NUMBER on it!!!
I really love my job. They just don't pay enough for the gas!!! They pay a certain amount called an
"Equipment maintenance allowance." It's supposed to supplement $ for gas, tires, brakes, etc. WHAT A JOKE! A bad one at that. (grumble) Other
than that, I meet very friendly folks on whatever route I'm delivering. All pretty happy to see me despite any bills I may be delivering that day.
OK. Enough blathering.
Thanks so very very much again my friend frewtkaque !!

YOU ARE TOO COOL!!!
well, that's only because the last of winter is hanging on. it looks
like spring, the fleurs and boidies think it's spring, but fruitcake's bones ain't feeling the love.
thank you very much for the link, squidly. it has been passed along. you have a nice selection. well, actually,
i was hoping for a pair of sequined gold stilettos for my son, but maybe you're saving them. he's a good boy. do keep him in mind, plz.
fyi: (1) large barn-red wooden box, plus (1) u.s.p.s.-approved black plastic trapdoor one, both fully
operational, reasonably wildlife-free at any given time and perched just below easy to read numerals.
why two boxes? usta be i subscribed to a newspaper. only after i went to the trouble and expense of purchasing
and installing a paper box did i learn that the paper guy much preferred to sit in his car and heave the rag wherever the hang he felt like. so now my letter
carriers have their choice. funny to see that the reg'lar person sticks with one, the filler-inner the other.
so you travel on wheels, eh? in this town we have both walkers and jitney drivers. the vehicles are maintained
by our p.o., so that's cool. you need to work on that!
buck's county? very nice!

Hellooooooo doorstop...uh...I mean Frootcake,
Sadly to say, I am rarely privy to a postal vehicle. Depends on the office. In Ottsville, there are only three routes. Every carrier uses their own vehicle.
One carrier (Joe, the guy I mainly sub for) got himself a right hand drive Jeep Liberty this year. (jealousy here) He gets the route done in no time. The
other two carriers (Sharon and Peggy) have left hand drive vehicles (as do I) and must sit in the middle and deliver that way. I've got an Isuzu Rodeo I
got used last year. I straddle the console which is a bit uncomfortable, but, my left "cheek" seems to fit quite nicely in the drink holder.
Oh geez. I'm rambling again.
Thanks again again AND again!!!

Oh, and, nice choice of mail boxes! The barns are nice because they're larger than average. One main gripe of mine are the folks who receive
truckloads of catalogues every day and have a sub atomic sized box I've got to try to load it all into. Hrumph. Then there are those nasty giant Oprah and
Martha Stewart magazines people get! Don't get me started!!!

Oh (#2), and tell Junior he's on his own for the stilettos. I haven't worn heels since the mid 80's. Evil nasty footwear! The torture of
wearing heels is somewhat akin to un-anesthetized surgery or being forced to eat brussels sprouts or corned beef hash as a child.

a clarification: the barn-red wooden box i mentioned is not shaped like a barn. it is a literal
box, handmade, about 3" deep (meaning front to back) and a foot tall (give or take) with a slanted top which makes a really nice thwacking sound when
the carrier has left my goodies. i am pavlov's dog and scurry to the front door at that sound. when the filler-inner uses the too-quiet u.s.p.s.
mailbox, i am forced to check and check again. why all this eagerness to haul in bills? lord only knows!
as to heels, i feel you. it's been at least since the 80s for me. can you say crocs and keens
and flip-flops? my piggies can!

nope. 3".
well, give or take.
front to back exterior-wise it's 5", interior-wise 3.75".
it's a skinnyish box which hold a ton, as it's so tall. and any spillover, should i be away,
goes into the u.s.p.s. one.
easy beans.
rilly.
