Life has been so busy the last year or so, I have known this album was there, but seeing the titles,dismissed it as most of the songs I had already,so thought the buying of this album could wait.

Hearing it today on kd.lang.com, I have put it on my,make me feel better because it is winter list of things to buy, and that song I hadn't heard before,wow! Forgetting the title for now, but about a relationship. I give it heaps of kudos.

Well, bep, like k.d. says --it's a competitive business. She can be so proud of how far-reaching her music is and how well-loved she is by millions--all achieved while following her own rules and living her life the way she wants to live it. It's rather an amazing feat in the music business where cookie-cutter performers seem to be the norm. She's a doozie, for sure!!! No wonder we love her!!!

Uh! But TAnnie, kd has only reached the NO 1 spot here in OZ. Us Aussies love kd. kd's Watershed reached NO 1 here in OZ, NO2 in Canada i believe.

Somebody feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
kd should have had the number 1 spot a lot more in her career but somehow missed out. Watershed was her first, but as i say, only here.

More than 30,000 Susan Boyle and k.d. lang CDs sold last week in Australia with shoppers buying up for Mother`s Day.

Mother’s Day is traditionally one of the biggest retail weeks for music sales and that was obvious by the Top 10 today.

k.d. ‘Recollection’ sold 15.898 units and Susan Boyle ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ did 15,617 sales.

I think I saw about one TV advert and a couple of mentions in newspapers and that was it. After the first week it disappeared. A real shame. Those singing Cornish fishermen got more publicity than that!

Yes, very sad that it made no great progress here but how much publicity did it get? Not nearly enough, clearly.

kd has reclaimed the number 1 spot for Recollection on the Australian Bigpond music download site.
Channel 9 has been actively promoting the album since kd returned to Oz to perform at the Logies.

Yes Abs, I am so fussy about sound quality and I am very pleased that they took the time to remaster these tracks. The sound quality is superb. And if you play the discs through a BluRay player the quality is even better.

I agree about the re-mastering Abstorch. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's like the songs are kind of clearer and more crisp. I thought even a song like "Sexuality" sounded crisper....unless I just imagined it?

Yes I am doing the fine tuning on the voice. At the moment she sounds more like Louis Armstrong but that might change.

I have been listening to Recollection. There's a surprise!

I suppose it would be interesting to compare the songs with the originals some time but I do get a very strong impression that the Re-Mastering has really made a noticeable difference. Do others agree?

There is a wonderful warm, rich quality to the sound.
It is really beautiful and I think I might even get to like Love For Sale if not The Right To Love.

As for the DVDS, again the quality is excellent and it is nice to have them on a commercial disc. It is what we had wanted for a long time, if not quite a Harvest update.
