For me it happened like this. At the beginning of Feb. the 4th I think, I heard by chance an enthusiast review of the about to be released Watershed and a sample Thread. I was done. Bought the c.d. and became addicted for life I am sure. This is the more strange as I am not into pop music generally except a mild interest in Santana, Abba and James Brown. Classical is what turned me on musically. I vaguelyn knew about K.D. as a country singer and as a avowed lesbian ( me too ). But I am learning fast my K.D. for dumbs. I have so much to catch up with , it makes me dizzy. I go backwards from Watershed and it takes some adjustments I find. So many aspects to integrate plus all the articles to read and so on. I'm in a bit of a monetary pickle. (putting it mildly) I sell lots of nonsense on E-bay under my well known odd name of "Squidtoaster." Mostly musically oriented, but since I'm no longer at the music store, my inventory of that is dwindling so I'm digging out my old comic book collection (image), posters, odd tee shirts, dryer lint, whatever (image), to try to help pay the mortgage and buy cat food.
ANYWAY...if you could spread the word to friends etc. to look me up on e-bay and see if any of my junk interests you/them, I'd truly appreciate it. Her stitches are due out this coming Friday. I'm taking her to the hospital for that procedure. Yippie! She's cruising around pretty well with her walker and navigating the stairs well too. I'm a little concerned because she says her abdomen has been bothering her ovr the past few days, but I'm chalking it up to her moving aroud the house a little too much. She says she 's taking it easy, but when I'm there, she gets up a lot to see what I'm doing or whatever. Anyway, all seems to be coming along well.

My mother went in the hospital suddenly on Thursday. Had to have immediate surgery. Abdominal aortic aneurism. Very serious. I thank God she was at my brother's house when it happened. Just curious if anybody watched the ACM's (Academy of Country Music Awards) tonight? And what you thought of them? I prefer the CMA's, but it was very exciting tonight! Having to channel flip while watching the final of Idol proved to be quite the challenge tho....I owe my son a dollar for keeping his telly set to the ACM's and updating us, while we drooled over Idol...LOL
Country music, like other genres of music, has gone through ALOT of changes over the years. I'm wondering if others have noticed that too? I definitely prefer classic country to contemporary (Toby Keith aside image)...
Any input?
